Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean on Monday in Brussels will attend an extraordinary meeting of the EU foreign ministers concerning the situation in Ukraine, the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) informs in a release sent to AGERPRES on Sunday.

"During the meeting, the EU foreign ministers will analyze the most recent developments in Ukraine, with emphasis on the situation in the Crimea peninsula, as well as on the EU’s approach in this context. The head of Romanian diplomacy will voice the deep concern with the current situation and will stress the need to observe the international judicial framework," the release reads.

In addition, according to this source, Corlatean will reiterate the need to ensure Ukraine’s stability, security, sovereignty and territorial integrity, by fully respecting the rights of its citizens. The Romanian minister will argue in favour of an active, consistent and unitary engagement of EU in Ukraine. AGERPRES
