STS Finance - Bulgarian Stock Exchange Weekly Report - Feb 4, 2008 Feb 05, 2008, 08:44 CET | Broker’s Report | SeeNews The leading Bulgarian indexes finished the last trading week on red. SOFIX and BGTR30 retreated below key levels, despite the deluge of positive financial results for the last quarter of 2007. On the background of the rather pessimistic mood on BSE from the last couple of weeks the favorable financial reports seemed unable to lift the investors’ spirit. Though most of the public companies have issued unexpectedly higher profits for the quarter most of the trading sessions of the week were marked by low volumes at the beginning and partial revival at the ends. Most of the investors are still hesitant and are in a wait and see position with a focus on the developments of the foreign emerging and developed stock markets.

Elana - Bulgaria Daily Report - Feb 4, 2008 Feb 05, 2008, 08:29 CET | Broker’s Report | SeeNews MARKET HIGHLIGHTSBSE begun the week with strong reverse and closed the session in the green. Only 10% from the companies in BG40 finished on the down side, which showed the scale of the rebound. Last week’s gainers were limited to several blue chips and their advance was associated with the performance chase by large institutional investors. Industrial Holding Bulgaria (IHLBL: 8.22; +8.16%) outperformed after the weakness last week. IHLBL set up 39% from the overall turnover after several large deals at BGN 8.23. Chimimport (CHIM: 10.72; +1.81%) and its subsidiaries gained in moderate volumes. The banking sector was subject of broad-based interest. Corporate Commercial Bank (CORP: 88.74; +4.54%) opened lower but managed to hit the level of BGN 90.00 at the end of session. Financials were among the worst performers despite their extremely good reports for 2007.
